We hope you all had a delightful time celebrating the birth of our wonderful nation. We hope your day was filled with barbecue, hot dogs, burgers, fireworks, and pie—all the wonderful things necessary to properly enjoy a 4th of July extravaganza. We have been fortunate here in Arkansas of late, to have such uncharacteristically cool weather. This makes for some excellent porch dining, picnics, and general enjoyment of the outdoors. How did you choose to spend your week? And more importantly, what eats did you choose to enjoy it with?

Last week on Food Feedback Friday:

Sammy possibly ate some pancreas at Taqueria Karina where he “decided on the caldo de res, a beef soup. I have no clue what part of the cow I was eating (one part looked like maybe pancreas?) but the broth was extremely rich, and the vegetables were super tender.” Glad to see a little pancreas didn’t deter you, Sammy. Nanc declared the hot and sour soup and Fu Lin’s on Bowman to be “the BEST Hot and Sour soup ever. I have been a lot of places in the USA, never had a better bowl than at Fu Lin's!”Joel DiPippa scoped out the new taco-centric menu at Revolution and found that “this was a taco plate worth the $10 - the pair of tacos were ample but not overloaded and the pair of sides were definitely a great addition. The green chili hash casserole was possibly a bigger star of the plate than the moist pork in the tacos.”Tammy enjoyed a little Layla’s where she “had wonderful tilapia, rice, and veggies. Tasted a friend's baba ghanoush and wished I had a bowl.” Kevin, who seems to be letting his newfound celebrity status go to his head, called Michael and me “standoffish assclown(s)…if you see them out and about, just keep walking. They wouldn't say hello anyway.” Probably true, Kev. And we’d probably give you “the finger” as well. SusieQ wisely “took HoneyBunny to West Memphis twice this week. Thanks to the recent Memphis bro weekend, I'm happy to report that (he) ate very well at Craigs BBQ & also Murray's Restaurant, both on the alternate route near De Vall’s Bluff.”

You can read the entire conversation here. So what’cha eatin’ this week? We’d love to hear about it.
