Kirsten Dunst will play the female lead in "Midnight Special," the next project for Little Rock native Jeff Nichols, whose last film "Mud"was a sleeper hit.
Nichols's muse Michael Shannon and John Edgerton — who was stellar as the non-"Parks and Rec" Navy Seal in "Zero Dark Thirty"— co-star. The film has been described as a "contemporary science fiction chase film." Nichols wrote the script.
