The Little Rock Police Department has made three arrests in connection to a December 6 home invasion robbery on Oakwood St. in Hillcrest, in which the victim was held at gunpoint while robbers ransacked her house.
LRPD spokesperson Sgt. Cassandra Davis said that the men arrested in the case are Alexander Higgins, Luke Patton and Wilbert Champ. Davis said their ages were unavailable, but all three are adults. Davis said the three were connected to the crime by evidence left by the robbers at the scene, but couldn't go into more detail.
The victim in the case, Anne Orsi — who is vice-president of the Arkansas Society for Freethinkers — was alone in her house on Dec. 6 when she heard three men enter her home through an unlocked door. One of them was armed with a sawed-off shotgun. The men held her for 20 minutes while they stole jewelry, cash, credit cards and electronics. She was released unharmed when the men fled with the items. During the robbery, one of the men had cut his hand badly, leaving blood at the scene.
