At least this time, Arkansas Secretary of State Mark Martin’s inflammatory rhetoric on Facebook is mere boilerplate, not a promise to “take care” of eliminating Spanish-language voter forms, in violation of the Arkansas Constitution.
A reader tips us off to the above note Martin posted on his personal Facebook page.
Looks like it was a late-night post from home, so at least he’s not offering partisan tweets on state time. Still, doesn’t sound like the guy who said shortly after being elected that he was “not going to get into a bunch of hot-button fights….These hot-button issues, that’s for a bygone era. The Secretary of State’s office is not one to be an advocate one way or another.”
